I usually bill hourly, with a weekly invoice. I try to be fair with my rates (which are negotiable), and I’m typically pretty generous with discounts under the following circumstances (among others):
- The client is a non-profit or a cooperative
- The client is local to the Reno/Tahoe area
- The code I write will be under a free / open-source software license
I’m flexible re: payment methods; cash, check, credit card, even cryptocurrencies are all accepted.
